Sylis gives opportunities regularly to interns from top B-schools in India to learn core sales skills. These interns visit hospitals and pharmacies to promote their outpatient care solutions.

Sylis’ goal was to enable the sales interns to do their work better and achieve their targets. Towards that, Sylis ran a comprehensive sales gamification program that provided performance visibility to the team and motivated them to exceed expectations.

  • To collect field data in a systematic way.

  • To show the interns their progress

  • To motivate the interns with a cricket-themed sales contest

It is a platform that enables salespeople by providing certified training programs and creating contests that help engage teams meaningfully.

Avinash Martand and Govind Lohia, the co-founders of Sylis, were driven to achieve certain goals. They needed a way to help their team focus on what was important and at the same time, provide them with the support they require through the platform.

KPIs were specially designed for each of the intern groups and were easily accessible through the Bsharp app.

Field data collection

Field data collection

To help both the corporate and intern teams measure progress and get a view of what was happening on the field, every intern was provided with Bsharp’s reporting tool. This helped the field team report happenings from the field easily and update the corporate team automatically without any manual collation effort.

The field data was also fed back into the system and was made visible as actuals against the team’s targets.

Gamification

Gamification

The field data being collected was gamified into missions around the KPIs called the “Sylis Internship League”. Each of their effort & result KPIs were converted into scores based on the weightage given to each KPI.

To win the contest, the interns would need to score maximum points.

The platform also enabled a leaderboard where every intern could see where they stood in the competition. This helped cultivate a competitive spirit among the interns.

The leaderboard pushed the interns to do their best and helped Sylis measure their progress.

Sylis’ goal was accomplished by using various features from Bsharp Score and Bsharp Reporting. The platform helped collect, collate, review and manage data from the team. It gave the interns a sense of purpose and drive to accomplish their targets by adding elements of fun to the mix. The contests allowed the interns to improve their sales skills by harnessing their determination and competitive spirits.

The result? The interns were able to improve their sales skills, as the contest harnessed their determination and competitive spirits.
